Introduction
District Planning Office has been set up under the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai. It is headed by the District Planning Officer (DPO) who function under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner. The District Planning Officer is drawn from amongst IAS/Sr.MCS and assisted by Research Officer (RO), Assistant Research Officer (ARO), Research Assistant (RA) and Ministerial Staffs including Upper Division Assistant (UDA), Lower Division Assistant (LDA) appointed by the Planning Department/ Deputy Commissioner.
